Pest inspection services in Sydney allow you to secure a better deal. You will be given expert advice by someone who can identify the defects in your property.
Home
Inspectors come in many varieties. Some work with one company, while some work
for different companies on multiple sites around Sydney. This variety can be
confusing for homebuyers, who usually do not know the difference between them
all. The ones that are familiar with this service should be able to assist you.
They can make you understand what they do and how it works for you, removing
any confusion about the differences between them all and helping you choose one
that fits your needs best.
Only a few clients have ever been able to attend a home inspection that we arrange. Most of the time, we are unable to talk to our clients in detail.
It is
often a bit mysterious about what exactly we do when we implement our Pest inspection services in Sydney.
What is the estimated timeframe for the pest inspection?
We
frequently receive questions about how long an inspection will take from agents
and vendors!
In most
cases, we allow an hour, although some inspections finish in a shorter amount
of time, while others require more time. The time it takes to inspect a studio
apartment will be significantly short than one in a McMansion!
We will
ask questions about the size and age of the property to provide further
assistance. Using this information, we can figure out the physical dimensions
and to what extent construction methods are likely. It helps us to allocate
time for the inspection accordingly.
In
addition, how many limitations are present, the degree of access will affect
the duration of the inspection.
When you inspect a home for pests, what areas are you checking?
In
general, we will inspect everywhere that is:
●
Safe
●
Accessible
●
Un-Obstructed
The
following places are most likely to be inspected:
●
Roof
Exterior
●
Roof
Interior (Roof Void or Roof Space)
●
Interior
●
Exterior
●
Subfloor
●
Outbuildings
●
The Site
Before
entering or accessing any area, the inspector will undertake a safety
assessment, and we usually require some minimum dimensions for access points
and crawl spaces. We will endeavour to access all of the areas to perform a
full inspection.
Usually, we
inspect the interior areas first so the agent, homeowner, or tenants can leave
as they please.
Is there anything I should know before you start?
There are
often factors that limit our inspections that consumers should be aware of.
Consumers need to know the factors that limit their home inspections.
The
inspection will not take place in the area, we cannot access. Whenever this
happens, we will let you know.
There are
certain restrictions regarding the property and possessions of the current
owners or tenants. For instance, we can not move furniture and rugs. We can’t
create access points or do things like lift carpet, pull wall linings or roof
tiles off.
We will
always have some degree of limitation regarding our inspection as a result.
As soon as
the vendor/tenant or agent provides access to any inaccessible areas, we will
always recommend having a further inspection. The way this occurs is usually by
denying us access to a particular area or by locking a shed or outbuilding.
In our
reports, we provide you with an overall or summary risk rating of undetected
defects.
Using the number of inaccessible areas and the presence of obstructions, we estimate the risk of undetected defects.
What’s different about ASRS Pest Inspection Procedures?
Unlike the
many stand-alone inspectors out there, we are accountable to someone, a company
called Australian Sustainable Resource Solutions.
ASRS is
our pest control contractor of choice, and if you want to join our family, you
must abide by their rules.
Our
inspection procedure is documented and everyone is trained to meet that
standard. It means we document a detailed inspection procedure and make sure
everyone is trained accordingly.
A clause in our contract stipulates how we handle different circumstances and adhere to the high standards of Pest inspection services in Sydney.
